Industrial Design Intern - Bothell, WA (Summer 2024; 3-4 months)

Summary:

Fujifilm Sonosite is looking for a passionate industrial design intern for the summer of 2024 to help envision the future of ultrasound. At Fujifilm Sonosite, our Industrial Design team is in constant collaboration with cross-functional teams including engineering, human factors, and UX to develop innovative life-saving medical imaging solutions. This position is an individual contributor role, where you will utilize a diverse set of skills to help design life-saving medical products.

Essential Job Functions:

Collaborate with cross-functional teams to help develop innovative medical solutions and products
• Participate in user research studies
• Sketching and concept creation
• Prototyping and model making
• Contribute to internal/external presentations

Knowledge and Experience:

• Currently enrolled in Industrial Design program or related field
• Strong Portfolio demonstrating problem solving skills and unique design solutions
• Strong sketching skills - Digital & Analog
• A basic understanding of 3D CAD Software (Ideally SolidWorks)
• Confidence with 2D and 3D visualization software - Adobe Suite, Keyshot, etc.

Skills and Abilities:

• Excellent problem solving skills
• Excellent written and oral communication skills
• Self-driven, organized and good with time management
• Ability to thrive in a diverse, cross-functional environment
• Ability to lift 25 pounds, with or without accommodations

Hourly internship rate: $20.00
