This role is part of Blue Origin Operations, which is comprised of Integrated Supply Chain, Facilities, and Security. This includes Manufacturing and Supply Chain support across all Blue Origin facilities.

As part of a small, passionate and accomplished team of experts, you will manufacture, assemble, and test hardware for various spaceflight systems. You will share in the team's impact on all aspects of transforming the way rockets are made and operated. This position will directly impact the history of space exploration and will require your dedicated commitment and detailed attention towards safe and repeatable spaceflight.

Responsibilities include but are not limited to:

  • Prepare, cut, shear, and supply alloy charges for the casting operations, as well as, verifying incoming alloy to sort and/or identify using established methods and procedures

  • Store, transfer, and relocate alloy from bins manually or by mechanical means which requires considerable physical effort

  • Welds alloy charges to meet the proper weight

  • Notifies supervision of any irregularities

  • Keeps updated on all standard operating procedures, new methods or improvements

  • Cleans up department and work area

  • Must be able to function as a member of a team and be able to work under general supervision

  • Performs other duties as required

Minimum Qualifications

  • High School diploma or GED

  • All experience in aerospace manufacturing, integration, or other relevant field will be considered

  • Ability to work effectively with a strong work ethic and close attention to detail in a fast-paced dynamic team environment with rapidly changing roles and responsibilities

  • Ability to interpret engineering models, drawings, specifications, written work instructions, and test procedures

  • Basic computer skills such as Windows, Microsoft Office, etc.

  • Strong verbal and written communication skills

  • Ability to climb ladders/stairs and work in small restricted areas

  • Perform repetitive work including lifting of heavy items, >50lbs

  • Work off-shift, extended hours overtime, and weekends if/when necessary

  • Must be a U.S. citizen or national, U.S. permanent resident (current Green Card holder), or lawfully admitted into the U.S. as a refugee or granted asylum

Preferred Qualifications

  • Industry certification, trade school training and/or degree in related field

  • Military experience

  • Experienced in handling large aerospace components

  • Experienced in a team-based Lean Manufacturing environment

Compensation range for on site WA applicants is$22.01 - $30.62 per hour
