SCHEDULE: 1.0 FTE; averaging 40 hours per week. EXEMPT. Monday-Friday DAY shift.

*This role will involve some travel between local campuses; supporting Mobile clinic, Abuse Intervention, Outpatient Psychiatry, Behavioral Health and Recovery (Main Office location).

The Senior Manager-Behavioral Health provides leadership at the clinical level in the implementation and oversight of outpatient behavioral health services. Plans, organizes, coordinates, and directs site specific operations of BH outpatient programs and services within Providence St. Peter Hospital and PMG. Directs the clinical and financial operations of these services in collaboration with the Director of Behavioral Health. These operational responsibilities include ensuring site specific programs and services meet or exceed legal, licensing, and/or certification requirements, are in full compliance with legal and regulatory requirements and standards of coding and billing. Ensures programs and services are maintained within the philosophies, goals, objectives, polices and procedures of the region and specific to these services. Responsible to ensure all personnel policies and procedures are followed for employees.

Ensures the BH portfolio roll out, behavioral health clinical supervision of LICSW's, LMFT's, LMHC's SUDP's, and operational performance of behavioral health teams. While working closely with the team of behavioral health clinicians, the position also partners with psychiatrists, inpatient nurse managers to ensure the efficient and effective delivery of quality patient care behavioral health services. This includes large, diverse and complex projects or process improvements and may include the areas of clinical informatics; physician practice implementations; process improvement, strategic project development and supporting the operations of several clinical teams.

Manages the Behavioral Health support team to ensure work is aligning and serving the strategic direction of the program. Also, ensures consistent Behavioral Health messaging and communications both internally to and externally to community partners and patients.

Required Qualifications:

  • Master's Degree Social Work, Psychology, Counseling
  • Upon hire: Washington Counselor Certified Adviser Certification Or
  • Upon hire: Washington Counselor Certified Certification Or
  • Upon hire: Washington Advanced Social Worker Licens Or
  • Upon hire: Washington Clinical Independent Social Worker License Or
  • Upon hire: Washington Marriage and Family Therapist License Or
  • Upon hire: Washington Mental Health Counselor License Or
  • Upon hire: Washington Mental Health Counselor Certificate Or
  • Upon hire: Washington Social Worker Certificate Or
  • Upon hire: Washington Psychologist License Or
  • 4 years Management experience in clinical setting with demonstrated supervisory competence and program management.
  • 2 years Experience developing and implementing benchmarks and metrics in support of improved quality and process design.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • 2 years Demonstrated experience in business development and/or strategic and tactical planning and execution including marketing, communications and financial planning.
  • 2 years High level individual contributor or leadership experience building relationships with executive management, department managers and project managers.
  • 2 years Experience facilitating complex decisions making among multiple executive stakeholders with different interests and priorities.
