Under Supervision of the Automation Assembly Supervisor, the Automation Assembly Technician Intern is responsible for building, start-up, debug and run off of assigned electro/mechanical and pneumatic assembly fixtures and EOAT's. They will also assist the Automation CI Engineers through the transition period of new EOAT's until the automation support department can adequately support the new equipment.

Essential Functions:
Ability to effectively and professionally communicate with designers and other co-workers, with minimal direct supervision.
Must be capable of reading and understanding mechanical and electrical schematics.
Ability to communicate technical information to a wide audience, via verbal and written documents for training purposes.
Capable of analyzing and repairing systems to component level.
Superior Troubleshooting Skills and tenacity in problem solving.
Works to complete installations, training, and troubleshooting under varying circumstances.
Attention to detail and the ability to learn quickly.
Must be a high-energy self starter and a team player.

Other Functions:
PC familiarity is required.
Required Personal Protective Equipment * safety shoes are to be worn at all time during your scheduled work hours. * Department manager/supervisor will cover additional PPE as required on department specific work instructions.
All employees entering the manufacturing area and other identified locations must wear the designated Personal Protective Equipment (PPE).
Wearing your Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) is a condition of employment.
Other duties may be assigned

Success in This Role Includes:
Building, Start Up, and Debug of Automated equipment.
Read schematics: electronic and pneumatic.
Install and program part removal robots
Knowledge of the QS9000/IATF16949 Quality Systems.
Forklift certified at HellermannTyton

Qualifications (skills, knowledge, experience):
High school diploma or equivalent required
Working towards Technical degree/technical school diploma required.
Superior mechanical and electrical/electronic knowledge and skills required.
Innovative in problem solving.
Knowledge and skills in pneumatic systems.
Ability to walk/stand/work for 12 hour shifts
Ability to lift/push/pull up to 70 lbs.
Basic to advanced PC skills and knowledge.
Must have a valid driver's license, with an acceptable driving record, along with adequate insurance.
