Key Qualifications

  • Screen incoming bugs (understand, reproduce and regress) related to video apps
  • Understand software components owned by the various engineering teams
  • Gather debug information from bug reports
  • Use debugging tools to do an initial triage of bug reports
  • Identify potential trends in incoming bugs and escalate to cross-functional teams
  • Drive improvement of test coverage and new product features based on incoming bugs
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Experience in scripting languages such as Python is a plus


Description

This position involves a combination of technical troubleshooting, clear communication and meticulous organization skills. You will work to understand incoming bugs, reduce them to actionable steps, and assign them to appropriate engineers. We also need someone who is comfortable working in a fast-paced environment with rapidly changing priorities. Excellent communication skills are a must, because of the high level of interaction with the engineering teams, management, other organizations within Apple. The ideal candidate will be highly technical, detail-oriented with a genuine passion for diagnosing and triaging software issues.

Education & Experience

- BS CS/CE/EE or equivalent experience

Pay & Benefits

    At Apple, base pay is one part of our total compensation package and is determined within a range. This provides the opportunity to progress as you grow and develop within a role. The base pay range for this role is between $131,500.00 and $243,300.00, and your base pay will depend on your skills, qualifications, experience, and location.
